What Shapes A Soul? Album Launch Concert

Join saxophonist Samuel Beddard and pianist Jo Foote at St Andrew’s Church, Rugby, for the launch of their debut album – What Shapes A Soul?

Based on their recent national tour of the same name, the album was recorded live at Hammerwood Park in June to an exclusive sellout audience, utilising uniquely-tuned unequally-tempered pianos and vintage analogue recording techniques.

What Shapes A Soul? toured over twenty venues throughout the last musical season, taking audiences across the country on a grand adventure through spiritual music – from gospel to African folk, via hymns, soul, African spirituals, classical, jazz, and blues.

This one-off concert features music from the album, as well as new music from their upcoming tour TAPESTRY, and interviews with Samuel and Jo, led by other local musicians.
