Christ Church Summer Music Festival – Festival Orchestra

Join us for the second evening concert of our inaugural Christ Church Summer Music Festival, with our headline concert of the festival, featuring the Christ Church Music Summer Festival Orchestra.

We open with the cosmopolitan soundscape of George Gershwin’s An American in Paris with its blazing jazz harmonies and vibrant orchestration, before traveling halfway across the globe to the operatic world of Bizet’s Carmen Suites, featuring lively Latin rhythms and soaring melodies. The second half of our programme features the might of the full symphony orchestra in Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony, a monumental work renowned across classical and popular culture for both its lush harmonies and its immense power.

Refreshments will be provided at our fully licensed bar before the concert, as well as in the interval.
